RC Tank Warfare community hobby forum

Hi All, I've not started correcting my Heng Tiger as yet, waiting till I have all my gear together to do the job in one go, and as I was getting tired of not doing any work on my tank I thought i'd start on my commander.
The commander that comes with the tank is in my personal opinion rather poo, (can I say that? sorry if I can't), so I opted to go for the Dragon 1/16th kit of Sturmbannfurer Jochim Piper, which with just a few additions, ie headphones and throat mic, (which I will be scratch building), I thought would do the job well.

so I set about putting the head together and then putting it and the hands on balsa sticks for painting I began, (yay at last I'm doing something to do with my project went through my mind ).

These are the W.I.P. pics of what i've done so far, the cigarette and map will be added last after the throat mic and headphones have been added, or they may get in the way of the wires. I am going to make the model as two halves so that if when everything is completed I fancy taking some pics of him stood at the side of the tank rather than just in the coupola I can do.

Very impressive Mad Fox,the guy allmost looks alive.

If your tank turns out half as good as the commander, i cant wait to see it finnished, Brilliant work 

i do like to see a nicely done  figure in a model it gives life and scale to it, what paints are you using ?.

You have amazing skill, I could only dream of being able to achieve that level of detail!

i got to agree with the others madfox, thats some fantastic work on the commander, and as keith said, if he turned out that good, i cant wait to see the tank
