Yeah be interesting to know, gotta get me down there this spring, been promising myself for years now.
Went to Portsmouth dockyard for a great time last year, got tickets for the airshow at Fairford this year so its armours turn for a look in. Good job I have a long suffering wife who loves me.

Re: bovington re-furb
Hi folks,
Tony is going to kill me for this.....but I went to Bovvy in late Nov/early Dec as I have the Tankfest 2008 year membership and can go for free till Summer 2009. Tony doesn't have that so I thought I'd better not put expensive temptation in his way!
The cafe was open and has no atmosphere or character about it (unlike the old Naafi-style hut) and the new hall was part finished with tanks in it, but display partitions not finished and it was blocked off so you could only see down to it from the balcony near the cafe.
The cafe was shockingly expensive. I only have to pay for myself, but if I had to pay for a wife and kids it would be an expensive day out! The relatively new Tamiya hall seemed empty and forgotten - though they hadn't removed the remains of the provisional cafe at that time.
I'm one of these people who likes old-fashioned things and doesn't like change so feel free to enjoy visiting there more than I did!
I will go again a few more times before my year of entry runs out, but I then shan't go again till the next TankFest (2010).
Still, the fact that the outdoor display area is half the size it was before, the cadets there were told to act like concentration camp guards and keep people from touching the new concrete barrier or walking on the path near the grassy viewing area, plus the fact that they have claimed 'copyright' over the Tiger's interior (!) so you can't photograph it, means that I may not darken their door for TankFest 2010 either!
