King Tiger RC problems

hi does anybody know how to improve the distance of my rc gear as my kitty gets to the bottom of the garden then shuts down or gets jerky
any info is a help thanks guys ive tried new batterys and longer reciever wire no luck??

Good Morning.
Wow. Some issue with the transmitter, perhaps? I used a scale brass antenna for my KT (wound the wire around one of the mounting studs inside the hull). I can run it so far down the parkway that I can barely see it and work it with no issues. Are you using the Radio that came with the tank or aftermarket stuff? Some more info will help out with answers to your issue.

im using a acoms techniplus 4 it just starts jeking and stops around 6 feet away from me can i get a different wire for the tank painless

You certainly can. Welsh dragon sells the scale antennas with base for that tank. Before you spring for a new antenna, look at the solder connection on your existing receiver. It certainly sounds like low power or low signal. Good Luck!

The range on my elefant with a 35mhz radio went down to maybe 3-4m even when I Increased the ariel length. I now stick to 2.4ghz gear

hello mate if your going to 2.4ghz,i brought a etronix unit on e/bay and it transformed my kt better speed and turning and fire and mg so much better all for around £45.00 easily out performs my futaba t6exa i have a etronix in my tamiya tiger 1 also and when me and my son battle the tanks they are so much more responsive hope this helps and distance wise around 25/30 meters
