Tiger 1 Engine Access Hatch

Post by Red Devils »

Hey guys,

Would a Tamiya 1 Engine Access Hatch (Part # B-6) with all its bells and whistles, fit the top deck of a HL S&S Tiger 1? I know that i'll have to produce a recess for the hinge pins on the Tamiya Hatch but if that parts fit, I'll be a happy grunt. Later boys. Thanks for the help and one day i'll get some pics up of my Cdn Leo 2A6.

Hi there I've fitted the tamiya engine hatch to my heng long tiger and the tamiya hatch is a bit wider! So you will have to shave a bit of the sides but that's it! I've allso fitted the tamiya front plate so I can have a working MG ball and that was 2mm wider as well I think the tamiya Tiger must have a wider body by 2mm if you look in the heng long builds on here and look at The Tank Mans Tiger 1 build you can see the hatch fitted on my tank! hope that's helps!
