Good day all.
Hey guys and girls,
Just wanting to introduce myself, I'm Derek Thompson (Red Devils here) and I'm presently living in Oromocto, New Brunswick. Currently serving with the Princess Patricias Canadian Light Infantry. Truly enjoy the RC Tanks, within my tank barn is the Cdn Leopard 2A6-Tamiya, with a WiP Mid Prod Tiger 1-HL and the ol 70's Leo 1A4-Tamiya (Some assembly required). Initially, I wanted to be a tanker but the recruiter told me I was to tall, "Infantry for you boy", he said. Ruddy liar. I do have a bit of the armored bug in me, as my dads uncle was with the 8th Canadian Hussars (Princess Louise) in WW 2 and my moms dad (my grand dad) was with the 3 SS Div in the east, he gunned on Panthers.
So with that being said, I would like to really pick the minds of some of you Tiger tankers and upgrade my RC Tank skills. It is my scheme of manouvre to build an accurate Mid Tiger 1 and any help would be appreciated. I cannot wait to talk to you all. Take care and talk to you soon.
Derek

Mid 80's in the 2nd, Charlie Co. was a great time, too bad we all lost touch. I have met 2 brothers I went through Basic with though since leaving. Only one of us from my group went past the third year. As far as I know he is still in and probably getting ready to retire about now.

Re: Good day all.
Thanks guys for the great intro to this site.
For kingtigger, your chums would have been down in CFB Suffield. I'm sure they did have a great time in Medicine Hat, excellent party town. The base is great tank country but sucks hard for the infantry.
Thanks again and take care you all.
