Cargo Netting / Camoflage Netting

Hi guy's
I am only new here but while getting a gash on my leg fixed up at work I noticed that the 5X5 gauze pad might help some of us out.
When it's unfolded and then painted it looks like pretty good stuff rolled up and strapped to the back of my tanks. I have done three today
with grey ,olive drab and dark grey spray paints. They absorb the paint too which is a bonus.

you sir are a true tanker. Only while blood is spilled does the real tanker's imagination run wild with applications for everyday articles come flowing forth.

Another good one if you can find them are hair nets. Many places like Boots do green, brown and black hairnets that can be rolled and tied up to represent stowed camnets or used as is on barrels, etc.

I found that cheesecloth works great spray it with the color u want

Ive been using what in the USA they sell as tack cloth to clean a surface before painting. It is a net with about the right size squares for 1/16 scale and although it is coated with a sticky substance once you open it up lay it down and give both sides a spayed on coat of paint that goes away. One package gives you enough material to make dozens of nets depending on the size you cut them down to.

tack cloths are used in garages, before spraying metal the tack cloth is rubbed on the metal to get rid of dirt, they are good cam nets on tanks, so if you are on good terms with a garage see if you can have a look in there dustbin for there old ones and stick em in some warm water with some washing up liquid to get rid of the gunk and muck.

to the guy who posted this tip iff u notice i posted the sugjestion on tips and tricks about this as well i have been useing this trick since airfix first started selling tank moddles in plastic bags . so its nothing new any old moddler should know it .tanker 242
