hl pershing only goes forward

hi all
hope someone can help ?
i upgraded my pershing from rx14 to rx 18 soldered all the wires etc had sound lights turret control etc.but an intermitant fault ( found out it was the reciever board bought new perfect full signal ). the tank starts there ins now sound and everthing works only problem is the tank will only go forward when i pull the stick on the tx for reverse it makes the sound but the motors dont move ?so i change the plugs for the motors in the rx18 around and know it will only go backwards . could it be the rx18 unit thats fauty . your advise would be much appreciated.

Does sound like the RX18 speed controllers could be at fault. If the tank is making the engine sounds but no movement would indicate the transmitter and reciever board are working. And I can't think of a single reason why the motors work in one direction and not the other so I can only think that the speed controllers are damaged.

If you open the case on the RX18 there is a few little black boxes near to the motor sockets if you look at them you may see heat damage.

thanks mate for the reply its the only thing i could think might be the cause ,but a bit of a bonus overnight . i contacted the supplier and hes willing to change the unit foc . thanks again for the reply
