Well, you want to "build up" the area where the rear tow hooks are on the lower hull....the air intakes on the rear deck and the drivers compartent are the same on the hl tank but not the tamiya..the antena is in the wrong place....and you need to add a pistel port on the loaders side of the turret.......and of course, it needs zimerit as the only p-turret king tiger that did not receive zimmerit was a soft metal turreted prototype that ended up being used for training...... here are some pics of that tank

you really also want to get the rear deck screens and mine shield for the rear deck....

Good Afternoon.
Yes sir. I recommend bracing and build up on any large scale plastic hulled AFV. I have the HL King Tiger and use an Adjustable Idler setup with a brass brace for the rear of the Hull. A brace to prevent upper hull flex is at the front over the gearboxes. Good Luck with whatever route you choose.

I have been IR battleing my hl for a number on months, I have no issues with flex even with 3:1 gears and 400 motors..

...I even use magnets to hold on the upper hull....I do use a plate under the gearboxes that I got from matomart but as long as you do not go metal crazy or cut out the batterybox, the lower hull is prety stiff imo.

Beautiful King Tiger, MC. :o) I have anticipated flex with the metal tracks, sprockets, idlers, suspension arms, adjusters, etc. on my King Tiger. I am very happy that you haven't had this issue. Gives me hope for future Heng Long purchases. I have seen it rear it's ugly head on my older Heng Long Tiger 1's. It was fixable with some simple hull bracing like I described in my earlier post to N1ghtpony.
Have a great one!

I build all my tanks to fight.....with the dbu3rc system, 5+ hits = reduced power to the motors. People that add all that weight to their tanks end up with a pillbox after 5-6 hits....light tanks = mobel tanks with damage.

I also find that adding all that weight puts more wear and tear on the tank.
