Charging
Charging
Hi guys, I have a 1/15 Hummel from Bandai and it's a real pain getting the upper hull off and on again for charging the battery. I am asking if anybody knows how to charge the battery by making a battery recharge post( or something to that effect) without having to remove the battery or upper hull. Thanks guys
Re: Charging
Pretty simple, you need a switch that has three positions (on/off/on) and twin poles capable of switching negative and positive (ie six tabs to solder to.

The off or middle tab goes to the battery, and the other two go to the esc (rx18) and the charging point respectively. That way you totally isolate the tanks electronics from the charger and there is no chance of frying expensive pieces of kit. Just make sure that the switch is beefy enough to cope with the dc amps pulled by the esc

Thanks Jd, buts can you be as so kind to draw me a schematic as I'm new to wiring and really don't want to fry my electronics or myself? Thanks man and greeting from Chicago.

Re: Charging
Can you take some photos of the existing setup, so I can see how it is wired. I suggest you edit your post and remove your email address, use the private message (PM) function for sending things like email address'.
