Would it be possible please to have a thread for a glossary?

I am a n00b to all this, and it would be really helpful to have one. I've lost count the amount of times I have had to Google some abbreviation or term, and with the memory of a goldfish, I often re-google them.

A glossary on terms of what?

abbreviations mainly. dmd for example. People are often writing things like HL, IR etc (okay, i've worked out what those are, but other n00bs may not).

Just have to wait for somebody to make a thread with all of them in and I'd sticky it, I don't know anything about tanks
