New to posting Just plucked up the courage to say Hello.
Hi to everyone .
I have been a member of this site for about 12 months now and have gained a wealth of knowledge and ideas from the forums; I am constantly amazed by the modelling skills of the members.
My own modelling experience started quite young with airfix kits and hornby model railways, or should I say triang hornby as it was known as then.
I then progressed on to 1:35 scale military modelling and tamiya f1 cars some of which have still survived today.
As I got older I started work and got some cash to invest in my first Tamiya RC electric car. I’ve had many years of fun with these I now have 5 electric and an IC one as well.
In more recent years I spent a small fortune on RC helicopters, very expensive hobby as a novice flyer .
Then a couple of years ago my partner gave me a heng long Tiger tank that she purchased from forgebear as a gift. I think she is now regretting the day.
I very quickly learned that I could get loads of upgrade and detailing parts for it, but my partner wasn’t very amused the day she came home and saw it in bits with the main gun cut off.
“They just don’t understand”
Anyway the bug has bitten hard and I am very much in to the hobby I love the mix of modelling and electronics.
I now have 10 tanks all of which I’ve done a fair bit of work on and some other 1:16 bits and bobs as well.
My Inventory Includes:
Matto Sherman which I’ve converted to RX 18 electronics
Matorro Sturmtiger which I’ve converted to RX 18 electronics
2x Heng long Tiger 1
1x Heng long Panther
1x Heng long Pazer Iv f1
2X Heng long Jagdpanther
1x M 26 Pershing
1X Bergetiger converted from HL tiger 1
I will try to post some photos on soon when I have found out how to do it.
Gary.
