Smoke off and on switch
Got my new Tank today, I have just noticed the smoke on off switch is missing, can see the circuit board through the gap. Is this going to give me big problems?.

Re: Smoke off and on switch
Which Tank, the version I/R OR Airsoft? Is it a smoke and sound(SS) Version? The switch only connects to a port in the RX18 unit to power the smoker,it will not effect other systems,or damage the tank. But it is odd to be missing? It may be loose inside the tank, If so we can help you to open the tank and repair the switch mounting.

Re: Smoke off and on switch
Its the airsoft smoke and sound. I suspect the switch maybe inside the tank. The cupola was detached as well, which is not to much of a problem as it would have to be moved anyway.
but because the clips were broken on the cupola and now this with the switch I hope I haven't got a Dud.
regards Colin.

Re: Smoke off and on switch
Where did you buy it from? If one of the recommended venders they will make it right. If online vender I can't say. The internal wiring is common to most of these and the wiring diagrams are posted here on the forum,if you need help I can provide the diagrams as well. Hopefully you just have a package that due to the Christmas postal system rush got thrown around a little harder than normal.
I did read your other post so know the tank in question,it is one I do not have myself, but plenty of members do. Enjoy the forum, and welcome to the Hobby. Regards,Blake

Re: Smoke off and on switch
Thanks Blake. just tried it out and everything seems to be working OK, including the smoker. Just no switch. I bought it from Howes
actually went to the shop but did not notice anything when I was there. I was more interested in making my mind up about Panzer 111 or 1V Lol.
When I take it apart I will see if its inside, and whether it can be fixed. Not sure if its worth going all the way back to change it.

Re: Smoke off and on switch
where are you looking for the switch?Presumably on the bottom of the tank-at one point the switch was on the side according to the pidgin english instructions which came with my HL PzIV and it threw me at first.

That what you are seeing is a gap through the tracks were an older version boards on/off switch was. Now you have the Rx18 in yours (its the back of the board that you can see) all switches are under the tank.Got my new Tank today, I have just noticed the smoke on off switch is missing, can see the circuit board through the gap. Is this going to give me big problems?.

Re: Smoke off and on switch
On all my HL tanks the power switch is black and under the tank. The smoke switch is red and under the tank (Might be labelled A B C next to it). And finally the Airsoft safety switch is in the turrent under one of the hatches.
Might be different on the Panzer 4, but all the tanks I've seen is the above format.
so, I think you might be referring to the Airsoft switch.
Ian.
