charging batteries

Post by supersaint »

How long should the standard heng long 7.2 batteries be charged for. Stuck on the box was a bit of paper saying they should be charged for 2.5 hours. I was sure I read somewhere they needed 4 hours?.

regards Colin.

Colin,

Your correct should be 4 hours with standard HL charger

or to be more accurate 1700mAh battery is 4 1/4 hours or if 2000mAh is 5 hours.

It is basically battery mAh divide by mA out put of charger

So 1700/400 = 4.25

As a guide my plastic tiger 1 S&S got about 40 minutes run time on a full 1700mAh battery (Smoker off) when run on grass.

Regards,

Ian.
