porsche king tiger 11

Post by streetfighterjeff »

anyone got any idea which reg this one was from? i@ve seen some pics but cant make out any markings apart from the hhhhhuuge 11 on the front of the turret. i fancy making it just before it was knocked out, with what looks like an extra shield round the exhaust at the top above the cast armoured(?) exhaust bits. looks like it would be a fun build apart from the zim and the cammo isn't to hard either, but would lend istelf to tons on detail and weathering.

cheers mustclime, i havent got a clue wher to look on thye internet and would have taken me months in book shops. youve given me tons that i needed, all i need now is colours, i'm thinking yellow base with either brown or green stipes, leaning towards green though, would be lighter in black and white.

Jeff, the King Tigers in the camo section post by me are from this poster. You could save the image to your computer and enlarge to view each one seperatly. Many excellent KT'S and the Russians list the units.

Perhaps this will help you to find a paint scheme and unit. Look close their are many Porsche versions, the gun barrel guide it a perfect give away, and of course the copula being side mounted. I'm at base coat as of tonight on the Porsche I'm painting, the fun starts next, the scheme.
