Strangest tank WW2 ?

Post by Piotr1974 »

Gentlemen, in another thread there is talk about the greatest rifled gun. I propose an intriguing differ. What was the strangest World War II tank? I am thinking about experimental vehicle, the less known and seen, so the type of inventions Maus and Ratte fall. Hobart Funnies to. I know several of these vehicles, American, British or Soviet, you came up with the best.... The Western Allies and the applied or intend to use them in battle.

Feel free to discuss.

Tzar Tank must be mentioned - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tzar_tank" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
or the p1500 Landkruezer Monster, which would have been fitted with the Dora's 800mm gun - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Landkreuze ... 00_Monster" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (I got this and the Maus mixed up on the other thread)

Also, although I thought about vehicles more practical. T10 was be in reserve to years 90, XX century. Ideal tank for the Nuclear War :).
I definitely wanted a vehicle types Locust and Tetrarch, Panzer II/III for Parashuters. All were using but planned using in gliders operation. Russians going to far, they gave own T70 wings!!. KT-40 was from Tupolev OKB (experimental design office) Image upper !! . Advanced idea Tzar Tand still is hidden :). What is construction?

Blimp, next question from you.

I still think of the Sherman Crab to be one of the more inovating, but strangest tanks of WW2.

As for really strange, i would have to say the T-35. That thing is badass.
