I need a little help on finding the right steel road wheels for my upcoming Panther build. Can anyone post up the axle diameters for the following wheel sets? I am using the Asiatam metal arms, so the axles will set screw "clamp" in....Just trying to save on a headache

Asiatam camo steel tiger wheels -

WeCoHe -

HL King Tiger -

Tam KT -

Thanks in adavnce,

Jay

Jaybird,The Asiatam Panther/Jagdpanther set will work fine.Most of the After market wheel sets use the same type of axle. The axle has a flat section maybe 70deg.of the circumference for the grub screw to seat.

Not really clear on the wheel sets you have listed?

Also I prefer to tap the control arms and use Dubro Allan head shoulder bolts,3.5mm thread 1.00pitch with nylon warshers between the wheel hub and the control arm.

Pretty sure the axles are 3.5mm as well,Is this build something unique or a Panther build straight up?

Not too sure yet Sax, but I don't want to let the cat out of the bag yet :haha:

I may slant towards these; http://www.rctank.de/product_info.php?c ... ucts_id=94" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

That way if they don't work I can toss them on my Tiger when I get to it..

Were late tiger 1 wheels and the steel wheels that got onto about 20 panther g's the same size?

That is an older set even for a Tiger, and certainly the wrong set for a Panther or any Tank. I have that very set in a Box somewhere and the were never used.

The newer sets are expensive,yet they are a much better quality and fit. Look at your link,now the very bottom of the screen and the date those wheels were added? 2007

All I'm saying is the set is older,it may work for your build. Check out the Master Class section Build Panther II.
