Re: 1/6th tiger1
It all depends how much you intend to spend Ice.
Mark-1 tanks have an alloy lower hull, metal running gear and tracks with a GPRS upper hull/turret.
Armortek are ALL metal, only made in limited production runs and VERY expensive.
You also need a trailer to transport an Armortek tank as they are too heavy to lift.
I would also need a new house as I would be kicked out by the Mrs for even considering buying one of those monsters!

Cheers

hi ice, i would go for a armourtek every time, because it is an engineered model in metal, the mark 1 tanks are GRP upper and lower hull, and metal tracks, i have been to a few mark one open days and have seen inside thier tanks, and mark is a great bloke, his tanks are worth buying but it does depend on how rich you are, or how generous youre mrs is

i liked the armortek tiger as you get to build it, they are doing another batch of tiger 1s in the summer, and taking orders for the kt at the moment

Re: 1/6th tiger1
1/6 scale size tanks have to be my favorite size tanks. There is a site "Lan World Inc." that sells pretty cheap metal tanks, but don't really know much about them.I had considered buying one of them at one time though.Don't remember who the actual builder of these tanks was (they are sold by other places also). They look like they would be pretty good as something to start with, but tracks and sprockets and road wheels might be a problem to use on the stock kit you get.
? Lan World says they do ship internationally, what ever that would cost. The over-all prices apear to be very inexspensive, and I know shipping here in the U.S. is only around 40 to 50 Dollars.I was allways trying to find someone on the "other forum" who actually built one of these and could offer up some accurate info on them.Only got a few bits and pieces of info though.
