Can I just solder this into the wires that power the headlight on a HL Panther??

Hi,
Led needs a resistor. If you are wiring to headlight point it should be OK. I am using an elmod pro so have a couple of sockets for additional lighting. Light goes on when you brake. I made me own convoy light using the red LED from the mg as I replace the red mg light with a white which I took from the headlight and fitted yellow to the headlights.
There is a picture of my light here. just a piect of brass tubing with filler on ebds. piece of clyinder shape clear sprue inside the tube which acts like fibre optic.
