Dragon 1/6th panzer II

Post by Abo »

Appreciate that its not our general scale but I see that Dragon have issued a panzer II and an SAS "desert raider" jeep to go with thier 1/6th scale figures. Just wondered if anyone has tried/intending to R/C the panzer II as there appears to be lashings of room inside one to experiment with. http://www.amerang.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; have them listed on thier page if anyone is interested.

Just looked on http://www.monkeydepot.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and they have a shed load of photographs of the PII plus a Horsch and Sdkfz 250! Sorry if this is old news for you guys, first time I've looked at 1/6th, like the look of some of the weapons available.

Hi the Dragon stuff is excelent . I recently got the Dragon 1/6 Scwimwagen that was £50 inc postage brand new still sealed in box from UK dealer . Dragon in dreams do a sdkfz 251 think its a D model in 1/6 but its metal so Im guessing it wont be cheep . There 250 is nice in plastic . Im thinking of scratch building a 1/6 251 D using the Rolling Thunder running gear.

Hi Abo,
Sorry but you have lost me...I followed the link but I cannot find a 1/6th scale Panzer II anywhere !
At Monkey Depot all I could find in 1/6th Axis was the Horch 'Car' but it is is 748 Dollars.....so that is way out of my league :( and the Panzer is bound to be more!!

Littletankman, Do you have the supplier of the Schwimwagen. Or was it a one off ebay deal. Great price. I'm looking for one of these to go with my Tiger.

Field of armor do some nice kits.

Here is a link to some Panzer II photos I took recently.

Dietrich, click on tv/film/comic then onto dragon figures page 3 its on there. Never mentioned anything about being cheap but the panzer II IS cheaper than the Horsch as that kit isn't Dragon. The dragon PII is less than £400 ($650 US, 450 euro's) which is certainly a lot cheaper than some armoured introduction to 1/6th. Check http://www.dragon-products.eu" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; which may be of more help for you in europe.

Hi John , Im sorry to say it was his last one . I had planed on posting a link untill I realised this . I can try and find his web site and post a link should he get any more . I cant afford 1?6 tanks at the mo as I got layed off :'( . Im thinking on scratching a 251 D but the running gears in the US so import duty :'( . I might be getting the US Jeep to as a present . Im looking for a Kubelwagen but not the DAK version . Best Ive seen is £90 in the UK . The Pz.II is a to early model for me but could mount a cannon on to it as a SPG ?
