Tamiya Sherman...Work in Progress

Post by helifreak »

Hi guys,

The links above should ( fingers crossed ) link to my work in progress.
I started this Tamiya Sherman build about two years ago....and due to work comitments and if I am honest a loss in interest it sort of got shelved. anyway a few weeks ago I got the bug again, and here are the results to date.

I wanted a worn, battle weary look and think it is slowly getting there. The electronics are still to be completed along with more detailing and maybe a little more weathering. The tank is built " out of the box " no mods or upgrades. As I am too tight to buy an airbrush it has been painted with aerosol cans, rust kit, and good old weathering powders, and a liberal amount of good old graphite pencil.

I must admit I am now once again really enjoying doing this once again....so much so on holiday last week my wife actually bought me a Tamiya King Tiger which I do intend to build with mods and super detailing.

let me know what you think so far, any tips or advise will be well recieved.

thanks for looking, Andrew
