Guys, what's the situation with playing with the tank in wet weather?
I know generally water and electronics don't mix but as the tank as slow moving parts and is quite well encased does that offer some protection.
Also seen some videos of tanks in snow!

Re: Wet weather
As long as it is not actually raining, you should be fine. the electronics are mounted quite high in the hull.
I have played with my HL M26 Pershing in the snow a lot and never had any problems at all. It is good fun!
As long as you do not drive through deep water you will be okay. The batteries are usually the lowest component in a HL tank. I cannot speak for Tamiya tanks though.
Hope this helps.

If you are not living on the edge, then you are taking up too much room.
Re: Wet weather
I have had my Tamiya tanks out on wet grass after rain, no problem. (except cleaning the c*@p off the tracks afterwards
)

Hey man....I just ride 'em, I dunno what makes 'em work.

Re: Wet weather
Cheers guys I thought that be the case. Unlike RC cars etc which splash the water off the road wheels everywhere.
One last thing do your guys with metal parts have problems with rust or does that add to the authentic style.

Re: Wet weather
The rust would add to the realism, but most of the metal parts are made from metals like aluminium or white metal. So they do not rust at all.

Re: Wet weather
Yeah, we all strive to create authentic looking rust, on the tracks and other parts.
But if the tracks did rust naturally, that would cause problems
