my Sherman hybird firefly update

Post by mcevoyi »

hi all

well thats it .. the bank holiday gone and back to the grind tomorow ... its was an ok weekend ... i was planning to do a lot of paint on the sherman .. but as usual we were invaded by family .. so not as much got done as i wanted to

the pics below .. show the paint so far .. mountains to do .... but with quite a bit of help form you all about olive drab ... i think .. hope ? i have nailed the colour .... even with a bit of time woundering round the tank museum .with colour paint chips .. i still not quite happy .... but i am never happy with paint jobs

the camo netting ... is a floor cloth from my local asda .... and i still have to add quite a few tamiya tape strips
the other problem i am finding is enough storage items for the rear hull ...

and thouse of you with sharp eyes may notice one or two other additions that we as modelmakers could make ..but never see to do ??? what am i talking about ?? answers below please ! lol

now as i said ..its no where near finished ... but i hope you all get the idea ?

your colour looks good, its a matter of nailing that difference between the US olive drab and UK olive drab or khaki drab the Brit colour is much greener and yours looks right, neat scrim
