Ardennes King Tiger takes a holiday

Post by Chef_bikes »

I've been lurking for a while but this is my first proper post. It's just a few poser shots of my old Tamiya KT having a play on the sand dunes. I built this one a few years ago (5+?) and I think my airbrushing skills have improved since these were taken - a re-paint is on the cards for the future.

You'd imagine the ambush pattern would stick out like a sore thumb on the beach but it actually looks pretty good in the brush and scrub.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

I'd say the ambush looks good,in my research I've found that some had hardedge, some semi softedge like yours,if you're thinking of a repaint, you wont mind me saying, the current thinking is that numbering style of SSsPzAbt 501 carried over from 101 days 1 kompanie had black with white outline,2 komp had red with white(222 had solid white or yellow,3 komp had blue with yellow,Tamiya had based thier knowledge on 3 komp KT captured in Ardennes,
