so you just bit the bullet and stuck em on anyway, looks good,a lot of refs I found without end cons and horns seem to show welded on,but rubber chevron would only be weld if horns were on em,your way would give a bit more stand off protection against the faust, schreck etc,M31 looks great also

i sat in my libary late .. very late last night and pulled eveything out i have about shermans and surprised my self with 41 books ...
there so many different combos for track added to the sherman .. that i thouht i would narrow the field about and looked for just fireflys ..... down to 19 books .... and in the end went after a canadian hybird ... plastered in track .... i have to add a bit to the front hull ... and then go mad with the rest of the storage ......

the fun parts going to be the camo nets ..... with the ' webbing ' stripps .... 'but i have a plan' ... yes right ..... ?

your talking good old Brit scrim,go on whats the plan?paper strips, gauze, glue, much swearing!,well thats what my plan usually involves, cant find anything bad to say about your work, but I do think the cast texture is a touch heavy, artistic licence maybe?those tools are crying out for webbing tie downs buckles,is that in your plan?must be judging the high standard of your T55 ,is that finished yet?

i have miles to go and yes webbibg all over the place ....and yes the texture on the castings was done on perpous as it helps bigtime when dry brushing ... you will see later ..in the build .... the camo netting ..i am going to try a bit of an experement ... i am going to use plasterboard joint tape ! ... not sure if you seen it befour ..... its about 3 inches wide ... and self sticky ..( which i will remove ? ) but it looks like netting on a roll .... and a sort of polly cotton mix ...
the t-55 .is on ice for a week or two .. i relay want the paint on that to settle down befour i do anyhing to it ...

and just a thought .... olivedrab .... humbrol ..matt 66 ( is that not realy tank grey ) .... any thougts as mat 155 looks good again with a touch of green added ????

I know what you mean about dry brushing on texture,a few coats of paint and it should smooth out,the OD 66 I always found a little dark for tanks ok for kit helmets etc,I used 155 on my Pershing and it looks right,British tanks from US were often repainted khaki drab which is lighter again also dark bronze green on some late kit, somebody correct me if I'm wrong anyway OD is made with just yellow and black,(the more faded add yellow maybe a touch of white)so you should'nt need to add green, khaki drab the same but lighter and a touch of earth this will give a slight green hue,

I use medical gauze in 1/35th , but for 1/16th - plaster's scrim tape works - soaked in a mixture of white glue (PVA) and water , wrung out , placed into position and allow to dry (tie down cords as well) will drape much more realisticaly than just tying it on normally . When dry , paint the vehicle , including the net in the base colour i.e. O.D. give it a dark wash , and afterwards just dry brush the netting in green and brown tones . It really looks the part and is durable too .

Builders merchants , DIY , hardware stockist , should all carry it . It comes by the roll ;D look in the decorating or plastering sections . - if you don't find any (unlikely) P.M. me - I scrounge mine from a mate who's a painter . B.
