Hi Delboy
Yep doing the the tiger.1 as well not to bad so far, did change the main gun for a better one as the one in the kit didn"t look right!!.But yes it2s going to look nice? just fitted the right hand exhaust pipe, Some weeks you get more with the magazine unlike this week one small sprue!!! still there you go only two years to go!!!!!. All the best with it, keep in touch about the build.. Brian.....

if you think of the cost of what it total's up too , spoil's the fun in building the tiger 1 tank and getting the history and back ground of infamous people that was linked to the tiger 1 cost dont come in to it
i think of the enjoyment of building and painting the part's that get sent each month
it's like r/c tank's you can spend the same amount on them it's a hobby and intrest that you put in to it.

Delboy,I have some of these parts as a vendor offered the Mantlet and the barrel muzzle brake pieces. But what I really want is the engine, one complete engine. Could you help me to identify the engine parts and possibly they will send me these only?

Thanks,Sax

Like Saxondog I am interested in certain issues of mag for parts. I would not have the patience to wait for parts to arrive each week. I'm NOT passing judgement on overal cost of model. I have spent ridiculous amounts on some of my own models so cannot pass any judgements. Just wondering how many issues till completion. I have a couple of issues as I was thinking of incorporating some parts into a future late tiger build.

I think Verlinden do a Tiger 1 engine in resin. I'm thinking of adding a resin engine to my 1/6 Tiger.

Their are Resin 1/6 scale Maybach Engines on the market for 275.00us. I need but one in 1/16 scale to mould for all my German tanks. As long as I do not offer to resale this as my own product I see nothing wrong with multiplying the engines for my own use.

I think the one I was looking at was a 1/16. Think verlinden? Forces of valour do a 1/16 Tiger kit with full engine detail. I wonder if they sell the engine only. I know about the 1/6 one. I want one of them too. I am interested In moulding a 1/16 version. I would probably just do the top section and build a dummy compartment so that I can still have electrics below.
