Asiantam recoil for RX 18 - Where does the red wire go?
I just got the Asiantam gun recoil for my HL Tiger. After looking at the really bad photos and on quite a few threads i finally managed to figure all but one wire. On the photos below the thickest red wire (circled) is the one that puzzles me. The reason for this is that everywhere that i read on the forums it says that a black wire should be connected to ground. Now my question is did Asiantam just replace the color of the wire and i connect the red one to ground as most people on the forums say or is it a newer set up and it needs to go to positive. I'm a bit weary to just try it either ways just in case i causes some unexpected damage to the circuits and it seems weird that Asiatam would make a red wire to connect to ground.

Hi Long time since I did one of these ,to power the unit ,you need one live or postive this supplys the power,then you need 2 negatives wires one goes to the RX18 and the other goes to the battery,you can do a test to see which is which, if you conect to a battery 7,2 v (because its only a motor you cant hurt ) one of the 2 negatives is to make it cycle back to the start and the other is the trigger to start it off.when you find out which wire is which it all falls into place.
When you look at the recoil unit the gear goes in a clock wise direction.hope this helps .

I took a chance and hooked up the red wire to the main power and i works perfectly. The new Asiatam doesn't even need the installation of the switch in the transmitter to get the sound when you fire. The recoil looks beautiful with the flash. I will post a video of in in a few days or so.
