I live in Minnesota, married, have 3 dogs and well, let's just say somewhere between 30 and 50 yrs old.
I just purchased a Heng Long Tiger 1 tank and it is my first RC tank. I am more of a WW2 buff than I am hobby enthusiast but I would like to paint/weather it to an accurate unit/front.
I purchased the metal gearbox and tracks upgrade version from someone on e-bay. Their ad said the tank had sound, yet mine doesn't seem to have it. Perhaps I am not doing something right to activate it? Is there a way I can check?
I'm not a real mechanically inclined person so any advice or links that you all have found as good resources for upgrading or fixing... please share.

Hi there schmitty. I know this sound trite, but have you checked the volume control ? The small white turnable switch on the bottom of the tank ? The next step is to check the connections. Look on the heng long section to find out how to get in. There are screws above the tracks, as well as the obvious ones, that require track removal to get at. If you have changed the origonal tracks for the metal ones you already know how to remove them.
Anyhow, welcome. You will find this a great forum very helpfull, & you will find all the answers here.
Ps, i'm 52 going on 12. Got two motorcycles & a cat. lol.
