Hi Guys, sry that I am asking again, but i googled the whole day and can't find anything -.-
At the moment I plan to build "Black Jack" a M4A3 Sherman who fought in Iwo Jima.
And for that I need to make of the 105mm Tamiya Turret an 75mm Turret, and cause of that and of searching I found that 21st Century had produced an M4A3 Sherman with that 75mm Gun.
Does somebody knows if the Tower from That Sherman will fit on The Tamiya upper? I just plan to swap the 21st Century Tower on the Tamiya upper.
Best Regards
Frank

Re: Does the 21st Century 75mm Turret fit on the Tamiya Hull
I had the same idea a while back, though the 21st c. Sherman turret on a Mato Sherman. I think the problem may be the scale difference, 21st c Sherman being 1/18 rather than 1/16, that means it will be 88% of the size which may be noticable. I hope to build an M4A1 Sherman using a Tamiya turret on Mato hull, will scratch build a mantle and alter inner gun to make in like the 75mm. Hope this helps
Dave

There is always a fifth Sherman

Just had a look at this as I have both, Scale is the issue, looks too small ! I did however use the mantlet on my sherman (theres my thread and several others int "other builds section). Go with the Tamiya turret, it dosnt take much work to get it into spec for a 75mm version.
