I am new to the hobby and was wondering if there are any tips to removing the HL Tiger upgraded metal tracks.
I assume you need to push a pin out, but the pins seem quite stubborn.. is there a proper direction to push from? any tips?
Help removing metal tracks?
Re: Help removing metal tracks?
The pins generally are splined on one end,the pins are best pulled out using needle nose pliers. Slowly rotate the tracks until you see a pin sticking out slightly more than the others, attempt to pull it free using pliers or small medical locking haemostate work very well. The pins should pull out best when the pin is at the drive sprocket.
The splined end will be very difficult to pull through the track section,if the pins is exposed about 3-5mm and you are having trouble use a magnifying glass to see if the end your pulling is splined,if not is should be pushed back in an pulled from the other side.

Re: Help removing metal tracks?
i have found that you dont need to take out the pins out , all you need to do is take of of the cover off the drive sprocket unscrew the bult holding the drive sprocket and you can remove the track and sprocket , to refit slide track into place, fit driive sprocket into track on tank an turn untill drive sprocket drops into place on drive shaft refit screw .
hope this helps
