Fixing Stowage etc

Post by stu77 »

Hi All

Being a newbie here aswell as to rc tanks was just wandering how people fix there stowage like helmets, sandbags, ammo boxes etc to side of turrets and to rear decks etc. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

hi , i use super glue or epoxy resin , but then i use some scale rope /tie down , otherwise it looks wrong as if the items are just balanced on the back of he tank , for the rope i use carp fishing braid , looks the part and comes in various shades

Hi, I use double sided tape where possible, that way I can remove items if I want a change or for maintainence, and like ICE, use scale rope for effect.

Like the other guys - Scale rope for effect ( I use white shirring elastic dyed with wood stain ) then hot glue gun so it can be removed easily for maintenance without damaging the surface of the tank. I've even used blue-tack for fiddly attachments where glue would be too messy!

I have used plumbers putty on boxes and Gas/Water cans, cheese cloth painted for netting and for rope I used Naval threads from ship modeling. For Cable I have a rather large collection of broken guitar stings.
