RC Tank Warfare community hobby forum

Hi All
I joined the forum for about a month now. I find it very informative and useful.
I am scratch building a 1/8th scale M26 Pershing. (I posted a question about the side skirts on these tanks on another part of the forum recently).

I have a fully mobile chassis with homemade smoker so far, which I have taken out in the snow again today. It performs very well!

It is nice to know that there are you guys with your wealth of knowledge and experience on here to help out with any problems that may arise.

Here are some older pictures of my 1/8th M26. I have redesigned the back end and added a smoker since. I am also redesigning the final drive train (Tracks and sprockets) to use bycycle chain and Sturmey Archer 20 Tooth (86mm Dia) sprockets. This should give a smoother drive and stop the road wheels from rubbing against the suspension springs.

Here are a few more pictures of my M26 out in the snow yesterday. I have only made the chassis as shown so far. The 12V smoker is made by wrapping a piece of nichrome wire around a piece of fire rope. (For AGA door seals etc). The rope acts as a wick. Then the smoke gets blown out through the exhaust by a 40mm computer fan. It is wired to the control board that I made so that it operates when I move the tank in any direction.
