Re: Another one .
Thanks for the warm welcome chaps , the beastie is now wearing some nice metal tracks courtesy of fleabay , a notable difference over the floppy plastic jobbies , it helps keep the weak suspension linkages in line too . I can't abide the nervous twitchy nature of the stock motor/gearbox setup so an Asiatam torsion bar / metal lower hull and 3/1 brass 'boxes are on order , meanwhile i've been picking brains . the cupola has been removed and realigned and the gun is trimmed ready for it's extention . i have an inclination to do it as a mid/late version with 'zimm and 'ambush' paintjob . the sparky side will be fiddled with too no doubt , but i'm still feeling my way at the mo . - I have a cunning plan . . . .

Welcome Blimp, the Asiatam lower hull is tops. Just needs some weight to sit down proper, have you decided on a wheel set?

Re: Another one .
I'm thinking late steel pattern wheels , to suit the time period of the camo scheme . The rubber rimmed ones do look nice though , and probably reduce any track twisting better . p.s. the hull is a natural 'soundbox' if i ever saw one , has anyone tried a few internal panels of balsa or something similar as sound proofing to dampen the toy like rattles , or is it a waste of time ? - as for a soundcard , which is the correct/best ? - *one with a proper 'burp' noise for the MG's !
- Cheers , Blimp.
