Battery wire

Hi All
" I dont like wires ", When I connecting the battery to the tank I noticed
that the red wire had come away from the battery ", would it be OK to replace and glue.

solder would be a better option , just be carefull not to touch the neg as well

Glue would act as an insulator and it would not last very long even if you got it working, probably a high risk of sparks as well. This would affect your reception as it would interfere with the signal.

Thank you for the information, I dont think I will be able to solder
as the wire goes about 2mm in to the battery to make contact.

Thank you for the information
To get at the battery terminal you got to push the
wire about 2mm into the battery to make a connection, would this work
as a insulation with gluing.
The glue I was going to use was araldite would this work.

Araldite is the best glue known to man I reckon. sounds like it is your best option. Sounds like a strange termination you have there. Mind you though Araldite does tend to seep into awkward places. Can you get a small screw into the hole and then terminate a tag on that?

Thanks again Mate, have glued but not tested yet for a reading, mayby its me not explaining it tidy,
coming from the battery you have two wires 1 red 1 black which go to a connector this connector fit to the one on
the tank, if you look at your battery pack you will only see the 2 wire outer insulators as the
wire connection cant be seen.

As an electrician, I would not recommend trying to make the connection to something you cannot physically get to. Even at 7.2V, if the connection is not sound, when you draw a load from it (ie run the motors ets) it could cause arking with the possibillity of fire.
If you can't strip it down and get to the connection point and soder it, I would scrap the battery and get a new one.

Thank you for pointing out the danger aspect of gluing, can I get
more info! off you, I checked with a meter set on Batt 9v and I'm getting
a reading of 7.61 from the battery would you say there is a good contact
made, or would you say there could still be a problem.

To be honest I think you should get a new battery anyway, I had the same thing happen to my stock Heng Long battery and it hasnt charged/worked properly since. Just do an ebay search for 7.2v battery and you can get one with a higher mAh rating which will run longer too, you may have to invest in a better charger, though as long as you buy another 7.2v Ni-Cd you will be able to use the stock charger (longer charge if higher rated battery). I think most will agree it is worth it!
