Re: Greg's Stug 3
Here is the reason I maybe slow in getting this build done. Sam is is either an Angelic angle or a Tasmanian Devil, which happens to be every other minute. So I am having watch him 24/7. Forgot how much a 9week old puppy is especially when he is trying to help me. Shotgun

Re: Greg's Stug 3
Hi mate nice start mate and nice dog , we have a little kitten running around . I finished my HL Stug some time ago . I decided on a late Stug III Ausf.G with zimmerit , but not the final model. I didnt use the Asiatam tub on this build . And made my own waffle zimmerit stamp .Will look forward to your build.

Re: Greg's Stug 3
Not sure what Stug Brigade unit I will do, thinking about 912 or 202 from Sepp Brander. Painting not sure yet, still looking at camo schemes. Looking on the web for photos of his Stug Phoenix or his unit. Saw some photos of a fording exhaust unit,so I have one coming to make it a little different. I like your concrete on the front and the anti mag. paste pattern. Very nice job. Hope to have parts in by Wed. will post photos of what I get done. Thanks for the reply. Greg

Re: Greg's Stug 3
Hi Greg, Thanks for the comments mate . I shall be watching your build as I like Stugs . Im curently scratch building a Hetzer (ready for spraying) and a Jagdpanzer IV L/70 . My Stugs based on ones Ive seen from the retreat from normandy , Ive not picked a unit but there was some simular cammoed Stugs from an ss div. But Ive not realy thought of a unit . Im curently out of work so didnt spend to much . I used the usual Asiatam upgrades but not the tub . I scratched built all the tooling clamps , removable schuzen panels etc

Little Tankman here is site that might interest you. I have never seen these modifications in any of my Stug Reference books. These are toward the bottom of the web page, I am going to incorporate them in my build. http://www.network54.com/Forum/571595/t ... ormandy+44" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Also check out the link on the bottom for their books, looks like photos that we have not seen in the series they have. Let me know what you think. Shotgun

Re: Greg's Stug 3
Hi mate some intresting field modifications . Ive seen the barrel travel lock , and the debris cover over the mantlet . but never in wood etc . Ive got a pict somwere of a Stug III G with a factory fitted debris cover . Nice find . Are you zimeriting your one ? The waffle stamp tool I made was reasonably easy .

Re: Greg's Stug 3
Your welcome little tankman, Not sure yet as to the zimermit, if I will or not, doing skirts. Found some images of Stug with a shell hit that's wild on the skirts. Luggage rack, fording exhaust and and metal barrel 40L48 from Modellbau and the drive supports from them also with ball bearings and all the little metal upgrades I can find. I try and scan an image of the shell hit and post it for you along with a paint scheme I found I like. Having a hard time finding any Photos of the 912 brigade for numbering and unit markings. I do that when I get home from work tonight. Shotgun

Re: Greg's Stug 3
Well some of the parts came in today. The upper hull and the pigs head. I start stripping the upper hull this week and work on the pigs head to make it look casted. Does any one know where I can buy the metal tranny access hatches from? Thanks Shotgun
