Hello peeps,
I've recently been bitten by the large scale tank bug. I am a modeller at heart and when I saw the 1:16 Heng Long tanks for not much more than 1:35 I decided to buy one.
My first tank I purchased from Forgebear, a Tiger I S/S with metal tracks, drive wheels/idler and gearbox. Unfortunately the postie killed it but Dave at Forgebear has been very helpful in fixing it and getting it back to me.
I'm not very good at waiting and have since bought two more tanks on evilBay that were sold as spares, questions about them coming soon!
So hello for now and let the tank driving...I mean fixing and upgrading...commence!
Hello!

Re: Hello!
Hi welcome to forum. Same as you. Got bitten also. They start inexpensive but you can go mad on upgrades. Almost finished my tiger. Have done lots of up grades. Contact me if you want to know what I thought of some of the upgrade products. Have posted lots of pictures of mine. Post pictures when you get started.

Re: Hello!
Hi thanks for the welcome!
Received my tank back from Dave and it's brilliant!
Also managed to fix my Tauchpanzer, had to rewire the battery connection and then when putting it back together the tank lights connector pulled off, solder and all, the bridge so then began the fun. I used some wire diagrams online that turned out to be wrong so instead of cutting the LED cable from the plug I cut the barrel elevation. But all working now, with the exception of the BB gun which seems to be totally dead!
Already looking at upgrades, on the list so far are a light up metal MG for the Panzer III and a perhaps a flash unit to replace the BB gun!

It is never just "one" tank!
