For those of you who can access to a copy of the English Daily Telegraph- There is the obituary for Major-General Yisreal Tal formally of the Israeli Army and designer of the Merkava Tank. It is an interesting little article well worth a read. There is also a picture of him stood by a Sherman Based Tank unfortunately you cannot see all the tank.
