Do you actually need to use floor polish? clear/future

Hi im just wondering if it is actually needed for me to use floor polish for locking in the paint or can i just use the vallejo air satin and matte varnish that i already have.

Personally, I wouldnt use johnsons klear floor polish as it is too glossy for a tank. I use it on various RC scale models tho.

For a tank I would use satin or preferably matt varnish.

no , i use it before i apply the decals , and when im happy i give it a coat of matt varnish

i to use johnsons clear before i put on decals then matt varnish
