Matilda II

Post by wittmann »

Hi all,
purchased a Henlong Panzer III a while back so as to convert it to a Matilda II.

lts not perfect l know i,e where the Glacis joins the Track housing it isnt quite correct as per the Matilda, which has an open "slot" where the inner workings of the idler can be seen. As l didnt want to lose the hull integrity for the idler l decided to leave this alone.

Anyway here are some pics of the finished article, hope you like it.

Amazing work, and for a first post, you have undoubtedly acquired demi-god status in the twinkling of an eye. Love the weathering work, you have talent (though I think you already know that!)

Thanks Guys,
been around for quite a few years now with the UKTC but still have a keen interest in 1/16th as well as the larger 1/6th.

l met a few of you all at the UKTC BBQ at Muckleburgh and was very impressed with what you guys were doing and had a great weekend.

As for other things lve done, well l did take my Bergerpanther G, a Henlong Panther G conversion to Muckleburgh, and have just finished a 1/6th Panther II.

Anyway, here are a few pics of the Bergerpanther G.

Oh Wow! 8O Really excellent work. The Matilda looks especially good. I would never have thought of using a PanzerIII as a basis for a Matilda (or even thought it was possible!) but you have perfectly captured the look of that tank. Well done   - and welcome bthw.

Great models. One can see a lot of time effort and talent has gone into these, keep up the good work.
