Here are some poor pictures of the prototype track adjuster I put together for my build of an LVT 4 from WWII. This prototype has an adjustment and a spring action of about 3/8 of an inch or appx. 10 mm. The LVT 4 was an amphibous vehicle used by allied forces in the Pacific as well as in Europe by both American and British forces.

Hi Andy,

I do not mind if anyone uses the design for their projects, as long as it is not made commercially for sale by someone other than me. I believe the forums are to help each other in our hobby and to share what we do.

Here are a couple of pictures of the track I am using and one of the springs I made for the road wheels suspension. I used carbon tube to make the cups and CA to attach them. The spring was made from piano wire. I figured that if I made the spring with two areas where it attached to the road wheel frame that I would get an evenly suspended system with no twists in it during use.

Hi Green Amphibian,
Looking good mate , the tracks seem thiner than the Sherman ones not sure how the scoops will sit in my ones just yet . But keep up the good work

Hi All,
Here are some pictures of today's progress. Everything is not attached, but it is a good mock-up. It is giving me knowledge of how much room I have to work with. Batteries are going to be going under the cargo area deck and everything else will be up front. I still have to fiberglass everything also. This is still very rough.
