Re: help needed with track tensioners ?
What seems to be the problem? Perhaps I can help although I don't have a pantiger but have installed tensioner s on my Jagdpanther most install the same way.Do you have a camera? If so post the parts and I will see if they are the same.Should be an arm, with a shaft going in a set of inner and outer plates, the arm should have a set screw to retail the axle? Blake

Re: help needed with track tensioners ?
with those tensioners you have to remove the rear post plus with mine i only got one flat plate its only used as a template to hold against the hull to drill the two holes for the tensioner
Re: help needed with track tensioners ?
hi ice if i remove the rear post how do you scure the rear of the tank to the top deck , and dose this cause any problems,.
i think i may be able to grind a small amount of the lower half of one side the tensioners to get them to fit , ill need to do some carefull measureing befor i start griding . ill post more pics soon . ps many thanks to everebody who helped me to start posting pics. tanktop

Re: help needed with track tensioners ?
mines only fixed at the rear with the two screws under the rear track guards
Re: help needed with track tensioners ?
I have been looking my pantiger and i look like will have to remove the rear posts
Re: help needed with track tensioners ?
hi tanktop removing the posts shouldnt cause any problems with the lid

Re: help needed with track tensioners ?
Hi guys i still need some help with the track tensioners , i have removed the rear post and fitted track tensioners in place this seemed to go quite well . but that were the trouble starts , i refitted the maetle tracks and tryed to ajust them ,
I found that the weight of the tracks drags ajuster foward again .
in the track tensioner there is asmall spring which is ment to hold the ajuster in the required place, but the spring is not strong enough ,so pushing the ajutsment screw out the back of the ajuster relaesing any ajustment made.
has any body try fitting these track tensioners?
here are some pics of track tensioners and ajuster with spring assy
