As far as im aware zim was not used on the panther G if you are after something a bit different how about a panther F an buy this

how about a panther g early captured by the british 4th Battalion of 6th Coldstream Guards and it has zimmand thay called it cuckoo

Hi The early Panther Gs that were without the chined mantlet had zimmerit but the later ones that had chins , Ive never seen any wartime pictures of one with zimmerit I think the chins were fitted around Sept 44 the same time zimmerit was dropped . Theres plenty of pictures of early Gs in Normandy with zimmerit . Ps the Panther builds out of this world. Very good.

but do you want to build another project or are you just looking for a different paint scheme to do the Panther

like to point out that the panther 2 had a different hull .. it looks like a panther but is actualy longer and narrower // different road wheel configuration ... and different hull angle's on the armour !

Hi,
I built my 1/8 Panther as Cuckoo. If you read its history, its quite interesting and there are some comments about it from some of the veterans that knew the "real steel" on the net (just google "panther cuckoo")
The hassle is that I keep getting people collaring me and asking what sort of Yank tank it is and it does get tiring having to keep explaining its history.
Its also been done in 1/16 as a Tamiya conversion. I think he over weathered it a bit, but it was superbly done. There might still be some pics of it on the UKTC site.
Great subject for a model & I think it would look fantastic on the back of Septons Scammell!
