Asiatam Lower Hull 1 year later

Just realized my Asiatam Hull is a year old, best money I have spent in this hobby.I have had no problem related to the hull, control arms are tapped with threaded shoulder bolts for axles. The track tensioners, control arms, hull latch, and tension springs have never given me any problems, the ride height was an early on issue, asiatam offers some lighter springs but after completion the 24lb.seems perfect.Would like to also mention that the 3:1gearboxes and Gruapner motors are the perfect drive, trouble free as well and plenty of power. I have been thinking of dragging my old tiger out and getting one of these hulls for it.
I have the asiatam hull for the panzer/stug 3 and am very pleased too.Excelent upgrade.

Steve.

Steve another good thing about the Tiger Hull is the price, much lower than the Panzer III.

Graupner speed 400's with 12-tooth pinion gear.Had to make a spacer bushing because the pinion gear drags on the large gear.I did try speed 480 motors first but they require boring the gearbox frame as they have a larger output shaft facing, and would not mount flush. The Asiatam gearbox is different and the stock H/L Metal gearbox does not require the spacer bushings to offset the motor.Phil sells these motors with the pinion gears but he says they mount flush. Also I cannot praise these motor enough, they have all kinds of power and torque,I have connected a cable between my Tiger(24lb) and my stock Jagdpanther with H/L gearbox and at full speed with tracks spinning the Tiger will drag the Jagdpanther backwards. The speed 400's are great.I also have double fan cooled RX-18 as they do pull more amps.Blake Note:If you look closely at the second picture you will see a gap between the motor and gearbox, the spacer is just a bronze washer about 1mm thick which the mounting screw passes through, once tightened the motors are rigid and have never been a problem. Cheers
