Saumur tank museum model show May 22nd 23rd 2010

There is a model show at the Saumur Musee des Blindes (Museum of Armour) on Sat/Sun 22nd and 23rd of May 2010. My good friend Stef has a Gite 45 mins drive away from this museum, the Gite offers good accommodation in a rural setting in France. We have two places available for armour enthusiasts who wish to visit the museum and other sites of military interest along the way. We will be catching the ferry in Dover to either Calais/Boulogne (TBA) so we can pick you up along the way on our journey south east from our home town in Southport.
Stef is a fantastic modeler (in1/35scale) and is very knowledgeable on the subject of WW2 armour. I have visited the museum on 3 occasions and is well worth the visit, also on this weekend there will be vehicles running and a chance to look at the unseen equipment in storage at the back of the museum. It is an extensive collection, Saumur is home to a cavalry regiment and a new museum has opened near the barracks.
We intend to travel and return midweek, having about 7days for the length of the visit and the cost will be around £200 per person.
