Tamiya Tiger I

Post by r32 »

Just acquired a Tiger I done up in simple overall grey and decided to put it to prowl around a garden. I know, I know, the grey sticks out like a sore thumb among the green plants!

If we kept running over them, we wouldn't have an 1/16th scale Ardennes forest to battle in! :haha:

Few more pictures showing the general condition of the tank. There's some metal bits on it that I don't know the origin/brand of, maybe you guys could identify them.

I used a length of solder wire to loosely attach the spare track links to the front of the hull.

Doesn't quite show it, but the periscope hides the metal hatch hinge. The Bosch light is also metal.

I don't think the grilles on the engine covers are standard Tamiya fare. I've also mended the broken plastic strips retaining the air filter tubes.
