1/25th Jagdpanther & Panther builds
I often try and do two kits at the same time as it helps with boring bits, get sick of one go
to the other! Also saves paint, yes you have twice the effort but also twice the reward in
the end!
I have had these kits for some time now, got them cheap too! The Academy Jagdpanther
I believe is quite old and I am pretty sure the Tamiya Panther A is made from the same
moulds as many of the parts are exactly the same. Both will be RC, I may even convert
the Panther A to a bergepanther, if I get motivated!
See below the threads for a previously Panther A build------------------
http://www.rctankwarfare.co.uk/forums/v ... =21&t=3803" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
----------------and some crew figures, you get four with each kit.
http://www.rctankwarfare.co.uk/forums/v ... =33&t=4663" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
All the hatches on both models open and close and they have working suspension.
Next a bit of detail work, hopefully back soon,

Very nice, building Tamiya's 1/25th Centurion at the moment and have a Tiger I built and another in the stash!
Great kits, especially if 1/16 are out of reach.

Re: 1/25th Jagdpanther & Panther builds
Thanks Ad Lav, like to see some pic's of your Centurion?
Got into some more detail on my Panthers,
Used Aber mesh with paper surrounds for grills.
Used Mr Surfacer 500 for armour plate texture.
Decided to cut the front guards off the Panther.
Not happy with the gap along the side of the mantlet so created weld line with plastic card and putty.
Also replacing the kit track hangers, 24 X 1.5mm track hanger mounts, fun job!
New working track hangers in place, (see tan plastic kit hanger on guard LH pic)
More to come soon,,,,,

Re: 1/25th Jagdpanther & Panther builds
Okay a bit more work.
Have decided to scratch build a Bergepanther platform for the Panther A.
Used balsa, ply, plasticard and brass to scratch build platform detail.
Getting close to paint.

Hey fv432,
Got any pic's? So you must have done some squeezing to get
the HL gear into those 1/25th hulls!
I am really enjoying this build nice kits and not as many $ as
the 1/16th stuff! Easy to hide from the wife too!

Nice camo, I think I will do a late model camo on the Jag,
I like those stripy schemes, there is a lot to chose from!
