Has anyone lowered their Bulldog hull?

I see that a guy on RCU has lowered his Bulldog top hull by 1cm. I am thinking of doing the same (though I won't be doing what he did with each and every one of his track links...he cut two 1mm strips out of the width of each one and glued them back together, then narrowed the mudguards!).

Cutting 1cm off down each side is simple enough, but what happens with the front and rear? Forewarned is Forearmed as they say?
