mato toys developing new metal road wheels

Post by Matdragon »

hi all,

not sure if you got the e-mail too, but i did and mato are developing apparently some good quality metal rubber rimmber road wheels for the Tiger 1.

here is a picture they sent me of the wheels:
matometaltiger1wheels.png
and the price: US$29.00

however please take a look at the orrignial exel document they sent me, as the 'MOQ' kind of misled me, i think they might be selling them only for $29 if you buy 10 sets.

cheers,

Matt

Gret work Forgebear. I'm in the planning stages of a Tiger build and this development looks like it will save me a few dollars. I would also be very interested to hear if the are compatible with the asitam hull.

I would like to point out that the Asiatam Tiger Hull is designed to use their axles and their Wheels. The control arms have a small set screw which retains their axles, the axles come in two lengths and have a flat section which mates with the Asiatam control arms and the set screw retains the axles to the arms. The stock Heng-Long wheels will not work with the Asiatam Axles.I have stock wheels and this is possible because I tapped and threaded the control arms and used shoulder bolts for axles. So the question remains as to the type of axles which will work with the Asiatam Hull, and which wheel sets will work with which axles.I am very much for a less expensive set of early model wheels, but the axle issue has to be resolved.
