Images Of Doodles New HL 1/16 Tiger 1
Hi All,
I have just taken a few pics of my new HL special edition Tiger 1 that I thought I would upload to share with you guys but I can't seem to get them uploaded, a message says 'invalid file format' even though they are JPeg images. Can anyone help please?

Hi Doodle
I have that problem if I use my Nikon SLR 'cos I'm an idiot and always forget to set the camera up properly.
The problem is that your file ( foto ) contains too much information for the alloted space for each picture on this site so you need to make sure that you set your camera up to take "smaller" fotos with less data for this site.
On my Nikon I go into the Menu function,
choose the Shooting Menu,
choose the image mode,
choose the image size.
set to 640 x 480.
This sets your camera to take a small picture which does not have a lot of detail and so is acceptable to this site's requirements. This menu action will be similar or identical for all digital cameras on sale today.
You can sometimes use your pc's software to resize the picture ( this always fails when I try it.)
.
On my Nikon and my Cannon there is a function where you can resize a picture you have already taken and have stored on the memory card. If you operate your camera to view the fotos you have taken, go into that menu and you should find a resize function there. It only allows you to "make smaller", but you have a choice of sizes. Don't go below 640 x 480 you won't need to. You will find that you now have 2 identical fotos in your camera memory, but one will be smaller in size, so that is the one to post here.
Another option is to send the offending large fotos as an e-mail to yourself. Open the fotos in your pictures folder on your pc and go to the top toolbar and click on the e-mail icon. You have a choice to re-size here so choose 640 x 480 and then click send and insert your own e-mail addy. You can then save the fotos in the e-mail you get back. save them into your picture folder and use the smaller size fotos to attach to your post on here.
Some guys post the large fotos in fotobucket....but again it hurts my brain to do that so I don't try any more.
I hope that helps. If you are having trouble with understanding my somewhat basic explanations, fone me on 07712 650949 and I will talk you through it.
Your biggest problem is this.........
Folks on here are foto freaks...they like a bit of tank porn....they're all wierd....but now they know you have fotos to show, if you don't sort this out they will all come round and tell your partner just how much you really spend on this hobby
....so try again.
All the best Mike

Hiya Doodle
well that was well worth the wait wasnt it.
A realy nice tiger you have there. May I ask the supplier please?
If you go to a model railway shop you can buy a dirt and rust kit, they are little bottles of powder that you apply to the areas you want to weather. You can also get them in specialised model shops such as Howes models which is in the Oxford area.
All the best with your beast

Hi Mike,
Thanks, yes the one advertised was more of a yellowy colour, my one is more of a pale green with a black weather wash over it, much nicer I think. I bought it from Tank Zone, it is the special edition with all the metal hop up parts and was pre-weathered.
I shall look into the rust kit, thanks for that info.
