http://members.shaw.ca/grossdeutschland/tigers.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; http://www.members.shaw.ca/grossdeutschland/vehicle.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Don,I don't recall if I sent this to you or not, good stuff about Grossdeutschland Tigers,I also have the book on their complete history with time line of Historical events and what Grossdeutschland units were engaged in at those points in history.Your Tiger is at home as the 9th went into combat in the fall and winter of 1943.Here is what they don't tell you,the first Tigers were the 13th company and they were early models with rubber road wheels and Feifel air cleaners all Grey in color. Most represent the A23 as a later version tiger, when in fact she was S23 of the 13th company that became the 9th company when the Tank Battalion was expanded to a Regiment in June of 1943,adding two more companies of Tigers.Grossdeutschland now has 45 Tigers on hand.I believe if you read the two links you will find that A23 was a veteran of earlier battles and driven by a veteran crew. Your A23 looks good in the snow, right at home. Enjoyed the video,Blake
