New kid in town

Hi all just thought I would say hello being as I have just signed up lol.Anyway been in to tanks now for about 18 months or so and so far I have a tamiya tiger 1 /king tiger and a leopard mk1 that I am restoring I have also had a h/l tiger 1 now sold and a h/l pershing that got set ablaze during an assault on an airfield and have video footage of it as I mounted a mini cam to my tiger 1 and it will be appearing on you tube when I get round to editing it will post a couple of pics up when able to work it out lol
look forward to chatting with you and swapping ideas

love the mud effect on the tiger how did you create that
I have just bought some rust creator that when applied to, plastic will simulate actual rust in colour and texture. I have bought 3 packets so i can test one and sell the others in my shop.

Thanks for the welcome people .OK the mud is real mud I dried it out then mixed the dust up with waterproof PVA glue then applied with a stick and a brush this is how it turns out

you can make it thick for building large areas or add water to the mix and wash the tank in it to give the matching used effect :)
For rust I use a collection of old rusty nails soaked in water overnight to colour the water then use a paint brush to apply it the the selected areas and allow little runs to occur for staining then a coat of clear varnish to keep it in place
